For our winter floral feature, we’re thrilled to share an exclusive interview with Las Vegas floral designer Sara Lunn. Known for her modern, intentional, elevated, and romantic designs, Sara offers expert insights and helpful advice for booking the perfect florist for your Las Vegas wedding or elopement.

What are some trends you’re leaning into this winter season?
Definitely monochromatic designs, color blocking, and bold colors! This has been a year of pushing boundaries within myself as a designer, especially with colors and styles. As an event floral designer, having clients and vendor teammates that are on board to try something unique is such a privilege, and we’ve had so much fun creating fresh, innovative designs this year.

What’s your favorite job been so far?
It’s always hard to pick a favorite, especially after such a fun year! For weddings, if I had to choose, it would be Lauren & Javier’s wedding. For social events, it would be the Harry Potter-themed 10th birthday party! Both of these events pushed me creatively and tested me as a business owner. The wedding was my largest one to date, and planning, managing the team, and bringing the design from my brain to life was an incredibly challenging yet fulfilling process. For the Harry Potter party, we recreated the Great Hall at Hogwarts with floating candles and sourced vintage books for the tablescape—it was so much fun!

What do you wish more Vegas couples knew about florals or booking & working with their florist?
I wish every couple knew that there’s a florist for everyone! I know so many amazing designers in Las Vegas who are incredibly passionate about their work, each with different styles and specialties. For your wedding or special event, find a florist who aligns with your vision and feels just as excited about your event as you do. Reaching out to multiple florists for a single quote might not give you the best result. Each florist has a unique perspective and pricing based on their artistic vision. If you work with an event planner, they can scout florists for you and narrow down options that match your style. Also, when you connect with a florist whose artistry you genuinely value, they’re more likely to work flexibly with your budget or offer creative solutions. Building that connection makes all the difference!
